In the production of nonwovens, either natural fibres (e.g. cotton, wool) or artificial/synthetic fibres (e.g. polyester, polypropylene) are used. The fibres are processed using different techniques and are mechanically combined and bonded into a net or layers.
Non-wovens are usually soft, breathable, durable and have varying strength and flexibility. They are used in many industries, including the hygiene industry, healthcare, automotive, construction, garment industry and others.
